Dear old Mike has done it again: a brand new CD with
virtually all new songs! The only older one is entitled, “What a
Savior.” I can remember this one well from my church days at
Central Assembly of God in Springfield, Missouri over 50 years
ago. It is odd how I can recall most of the old hymns from long
ago, but cannot remember the names of dear ones I have just
met—isn’t old age strange? Here is how “What a Savior” goes:
O what a Savior, O hallelujah!
His heart was broken on Calvary.
His hands were nail scarred,
His side was riven.
He gave his life-blood for even me.
Yes, ten great songs of inspiration as only Mike Purkey can
