The Bible tells us very little about Jesus from his birth to probably about 30 years of age. We know most about the three years or so of His earthly ministry— although the scholars still debate that Jesus’ ministry was perhaps more than three years.

We know that when the Wise Men came with gifts, the Holy Family, according to the Gospel of Matthew, were then living in a house—we think about two years later since King Herod was killing all Bethlehem boys up to and including two-year olds! I’m sure there was a special place for him in hell after the worms finished eating him! We also know that the Holy Family fled to Egypt and were pursued by Herod’s soldiers for another two years—perhaps more. But, recently, near the Qumran caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, some scroll fragments written by a sect known as the Essenes were also found with some tantalizing notes about a man called Jesus!
