In response to the devastating earthquake which struck Haiti in January, TBN and Jan's Smile of a Child foundation went into immediate action to help provide urgently needed humanitarian aid. Three generators were sent to Don and Sondra Tipton at Friend Ships Ministries while their ship, The Integrity, was being loaded at the port in Lake Charles, LA with tons of food, medical supplies and shelter materials destined for Haiti. TBN also gave Friend Ships a gift of $100,00 to provide fuel for the ship, and Smile of a Child donated $100,000 to Samaritan's Purse to help with their relief efforts in Haiti.
