Israel: Matt was joined by David Barton, founder and president of WallBuilders, and host of the American Heritage TV series, and internationally renowned actor Jon Voight—both strong supporters of Israel—at the “Restoring Courage” rally in Jerusalem this past August.
South Sudan: On July 9, 2011, the new nation of South Sudan was born. At the invitation of the President Salva Kiir Mayardit, Matt represented TBN at the Independence Day celebrations in Juba, the new capital. Dignitaries from around the world attended the event, including U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Susan Rice and former U.S. Secretary of State, Colin Powell.
South Sudan: Matt greeted Samaritan’s Purse founder and president, Franklin Graham, who was also in attendance. Since 1997, Samaritan’s Purse has been providing desperately needed humanitarian aid to this wartorn part of the world. |
