Mr. Wang Zuoan, Minister of Religious Affairs,graciously received me. I saw an interesting picture of Chinese language characters in his office, and asked Mr. Wang what it was. He explained to me that these were a selection of "good sayings." I asked Mr. Wang if he would translate some of the "sayings" for me. Imagine my amazement when he began quoting the Beatitudes — yes, Jesus' very words!
