FOR ALL OF THEM SHALL HEAR YOUR VOICE.” Psa. 138:4 TLB
Precious TBN Partners: So often in my letters to
you I speak of new opportunities, open doors,
new stations and launching new satellites. This is all
good and exciting to see the way God has raised up
over 6,500 stations fed by 47 satellites — but I have
neglected to tell you of many of the awesome results
of our labors, as we send the
Good News, now, in seven
languages to the uttermost parts
of the earth! Praise the Lord!
But before I thrill you with
true testimonies from many
parts of the world, let me ask
you for special prayer for a most
amazing door that has been
opened to me.
Recently, I received a
personal letter from President
Yoweri Museveni of Uganda,
Central Africa. In part, he writes:
“I HAVE HEARD OF
YOUR GOOD WORKS
FROM PASTOR ROBERT
KAYANJAOFTHE MIRACLE
CENTRE. MYWIFE, JANET,
HAS ALSO TOLD ME OF
YOUR EFFORTS AND
CONTRIBUTION TO THE
CAUSE OF HUMANITY.”
The wonderful news is that
the president and his dear wife are both committed
believers in Jesus Christ, and I understand that the
president is actually doing some preaching in various
churches! He goes on to say:
“I AM THEREFORE, INVITING BOTH
OF YOU, TO COME AND VISIT US IN
UGANDA…PREFERABLY IN SEPTEMBER OR OCTOBER. PASTOR KAYANJA MAY COORDINATE
YOUR TRIP WITH MY PRIVATE
SECRETARY. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
YOWERI K. MUSEVENI, PRESIDENT OF THE
REPUBLIC OF UGANDA.”
In our 32 years, I have met with many presidents,
prime ministers, premiers, et
al, but have never received
such a gracious invitation for
a state visit usually reserved
for other heads of state. But
the most important part of this
invitation is to speak to all of
the presidents of sub-Saharan,
Africa!
Each year all of the
presidents come together for a
conference and this year
President Museveni is to be
the host of the conference.
I have been asked to open the
meeting with prayer and give
a few words of greeting.
You know old PFC, I will ask
how many heads of state
would welcome a TBN
station in their nation. If all
hands go up, I will probably
faint and need assistance getting
to my seat! Please pray for me, that God’s perfect will be done. By the way, the presidents’ meeting is scheduled for October 18 — please pray!
And now for some thrilling testimonies as
promised.
The first comes from a brother who is serving
with the U.S. Army as a translator in Iraq.
He was our first courier of money to Pastor Haitham in
Kirkuk, Iraq to buy dishes for the pastors and
churches of Iraq. My secretary spoke to him and received
this report:
“BASHAR IS IN THE U.S. ON LEAVE. HE IS
STILL WORKING FOR THE U.S. ARMY AND IS
SCHEDULED TO RETURN TO IRAQ SOON. HE
WANTED TO LET US KNOW HOW MUCH OF
A BLESSING THE “HEALING CHANNEL” IS
IN IRAQ — NOT ONLY TO THE CHRISTIAN
COMMUNITY, BUT IT IS ALSO REACHING
MOSLEMS. HE SAID IT IS MAKING A
TREMENDOUS IMPACT ON LIVES, AND THAT
IN SPITE OFALLTHE BAD NEWS COMING OUT
OF IRAQ, THERE IS A GREAT MOVE OF THE
LORD THERE.”
Most of you know that my son, Matt, and I went to
Iraq last year and left $12,000 with an Army chaplain to buy satellite dishes for the churches and pastors. We even jumped out of our armored car and bought a dish on a street in Baghdad. We gave it to our dear chaplain in
appreciation for his assistance getting us into many of the forbidden places, including Sadam Hussein’s palace where we met, had lunch and interviewed some of our brave U.S. servicemen.
Next, go with me to Nigeria, West Africa. This
touching testimony comes from Bishop Moses E. Okafor,
in the city of Aba —
“BROTHER PAUL, I DON’T KNOW HOW TO
DESCRIBE THE JOY AND JUBILATION MY
CHURCH MEMBERS FELT THE DAY OUR
SATELLITE DISH WAS INSTALLED. IN FACT,
IT WAS SO GREAT, MANY OF THE CHURCH
MEMBERS SLEPT IN THE CHURCH WATCHING
THE TBN STATION! OUR ONLY PROBLEM IS
THE PUBLIC POWER GOES OFF UP TO 10
HOURS A DAY, SO WE HOPE TO GET A SMALL
GENERATOR — COST ABOUT $10,000. WE
DON’T HAVE SUCH AN AMOUNT NOW. HERE IN
AFRICA WE ARE POOR FINANCIALLY, BUTWE
ARE SPIRITUALLY MILLIONAIRES!”
What do you say? Shall we buy them that generator
to keep TBN on 24/7? I believe I know your answer!
Next comes a most thrilling report from Pastor Nabil Abraham, and Yvette Isaac, who are doing most of our Arabic language translation for our TBN “HEALING CHANNEL.” Recently, they traveled to Europe to attend what they described as, “one of the most remarkable Arabic conferences ever!”
“THE CONFERENCE ATTENDANCE EXCEEDED
500 ADULTS, 50% OFWHOM WERE OF MUSLIM
BACKGROUND. THE COMMITTEE GAVE US
TIME TO TALK ABOUT THE TBN HEALING
CHANNEL. HOW THRILLING TO SEE EVERY
HAND RAISED WHEN WE ASKED FOR A SHOW
OF HANDS OF THE HEALING CHANNEL VIEWERS!
WE HEARD AMAZING TESTIMONIES
ABOUT THE SUPERNATURAL WORK OF GOD
THAT DREW THESE PRECIOUS SOULS TO HIS
KINGDOM THROUGH VISIONS AND DREAMS.”
One testimony was so awesome, it brought tears to my eyes! Oh, dear partners, here is the fruit of our labors through just one of our networks — the TBN Healing Channel:
FADIA, ONE OF THE MANY IRAQI KURDS
WHO WAS A ‘YAZEEDI,’ (A RELIGION THAT
WORSHIPS FIRE AND SATAN) HEARD ABOUT
SALVATION ON TV. SHE KNELT, PUT HER HAND
ON THE TV AND ASKED JESUS TO SAVE HER
SOUL. LATER, HER MOTHER WAS HEALED AND
ACCEPTED THE LORD AS WELL AS HER
FATHER.
But there is more — much, much more! This testimony goes on to tell of two other girls —
“KAREEM AND FADILA FROM ALGERIA
RECEIVED THE LORD JESUS — FADILA WAS
SAVED AND 15 DEMONS WERE CAST OUT OF
HER AND GOD HEALED HER FROM A DISEASE
THAT HAD TORMENTED HER FOR 12 YEARS!”
“PRAISE BE TO GOD, WE MET AND HEARD
MANYTESTIMONIES FROM ALGERIANS, YEMENIS,
MOROCCANS, EGYPTIANS, JORDANIANS,
SYRIANS, AND IRAQIS, ALLOF WHOM CAME TO
THE LORD AND ARE GROWING IN FAITH,
THANKS TO THE “HEALING CHANNEL.” ITWAS
TREMENDOUS TO SEE HOW FAR THE CHANNEL
HAS SPREAD THROUGHOUT EUROPE, IN
ADDITION TO THE MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH
AFRICA!”
Ah, dear Partners — I’m out of space, but I have hundreds

Morocco, and the islands of the seas! Watch the Behind the

together for the great harvest of souls pouring in!

August 1997—Paul at the dedication of Channel
22 in Kampala, Uganda. He and Jan will be visiting
Uganda this month at the personal invitation
of President Yoweri Museveni!
During Paul’s trip last year to
Baghdad, Iraq, he purchased a satellite
dish from a street vendor. The good
news out of Iraq is that there is a
mighty move of God in that troubled
nation. Many are coming to know
Jesus—PLEASE KEEP PRAYING!
