WOW! As I said last month, “2005, WHAT A
YEAR!” Not only are we meeting with world
leaders, now they are coming to TBN to meet with us!
Just last November, Minister Ye Xiaowen, the
Director General of the State
Administration for Religious
Affairs of the People’s Republic
of China, accepted my invitation
to visit TBN’s headquarters in
Costa Mesa, California. He
brought his many staff members
with him and we took a giant
step forward to getting more TV
affiliates in China! Minister Ye is
in charge of all religious activity
in China. I had previously met
with seven of the top officials in
China in 2000 and again in 2003.
A few weeks earlier I was
privileged to meet Prime
Minister Ariel Sharon and former Finance Minister,
Benjamin Netanyahu, of Israel. I met Pope Shenouda
III in Egypt and he then came to California to meet the
TBN staff and is now producing an Arabic language
program for “The Healing Channel,” TBN’s all Arabic
language network. Pope Shenouda is over all Coptic
Christians in Egypt and worldwide.
Our staff and I went to Nigeria with Benny Hinn
and the president, Olusegun Obasanjo, gave us a permit
to build a TBN station in his country. I received a personal
letter from President Yoweri Museveni of
Uganda inviting me to meet with him, but my schedule
was so full my son, Matt, went in my place! I will go
later, God willing.
I went to Bombay and Bangalore, India, again
with Benny Hinn, and met governors, mayors, even
Queen Elizabeth’s private chaplain — Jan and I had
met the Queen some years earlier in Nevis.
WOW AGAIN! I think if I tried to name all the
kings, queens, presidents,
prime ministers and other
heads of state, it would fill a
book! “WHAT FOR?” you
ask. Well, most of them have
given us permits to build TV
stations in their nations! Praise
the Lord!
Pray that as I send copies of this newsletter to all of
these world leaders that Psalm 2:10-12 will grip their
hearts, although many of them are born again, such as
our own President Bush! Praise the Lord!
So why do I believe Jesus is coming soon? We discussed
the many signs in last month’s letter, but there are
three very prominent ones that Jesus Himself gave us.
First, the dramatic changes in the weather with increased
hurricanes, famines and earthquakes. Wow! Even as
I write this, a small quake shook the house! Yes, Lord,
I got the message!
Secondly, Jesus said that the Gospel shall be preached
in all the world and only THEN WOULD THE END
COME (Matt. 24:14)! Praise God, together this big, beautiful
TBN family is helping bring this to pass, BIG TIME!
But, sign number three has been largely misunderstood.
In May of 1948, when Israel became a nation after
nearly 2,000 years of exile, many Bible scholars preached
that this was a major sign and I, too, believe that it was and
is. But then came the Six-Day War in 1967, when the
Israeli forces took Jerusalem. Many prophecy teachers
went to the book of Luke —
“AND JERUSALEM SHALL BE TRODDEN
DOWN OF THE GENTILES, UNTIL THE
TIMES OF THE GENTILES BE FULFILLED.”
Luke 21:24
“This HAS to be it,” they proclaimed! But, wait a
minute — the heart of old Jerusalem is Mount Moriah, still
firmly under the control of the Moslem Arabs with the
Mosque of Omar right in the middle of it!
At this point there are many differing opinions and
interpretations. Many believe that a strong political leader
will arise from the EU — the European Union — who will
make a truce between the Israelis and Arabs, allowing the
Jews to rebuild their temple, and somewhere in or around
these events, Jesus WILL COME in the clouds of glory
with his saints to take us home forever! Hallelujah! No one
has it all figured out, but ONE THING TO WATCH —
YES, KEEP YOUR EYE ON MOUNT MORIAH AND
THE WHOLE OF OLD JERUSALEM! Praise the Lord
God Most High — for one thing is certain: HE IS COMING
SOON! In the meantime, Jesus tells us three things to
do: WATCH, OCCUPY AND PREACH HIS GOOD
NEWS!
Ah, dear Partners, we are doing this 24/7 through
YOUR TBN! Jan and I are giving it all we have — please
help us. We need your prayers and support now more than
ever! How the evil one rants and rages. Hurricane Wilma
went right through Channel 45 in south Florida — the
tower stands strong, but look at our beautiful I-95 sign!
It broke my heart — millions of cars pass that sign and we
will rebuild it at the cost of several thousand dollars. Also
many trees are gone and buildings damaged.
At this time I am facing some very painful physical
challenges, so I need your prayers. But, sweet Jan is healed
and whole — Praise God! We will be looking for your letter
of loving support this month. Please know we love you,
too, more than words could ever express. Remember our
theme Scripture:
“OH THE JOYS OF THOSE WHO PUT THEIR
TRUST IN HIM!” Psa. 2:12

the Chinese Director General of the
State Administration for Religious Affairs,
at TBN’s headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA.
Paul presented a special TBN Bible
to Minister Ye — with specially
highlighted Scriptures.

the Gospel to the
ends of the earth!
Jan and Paul were deeply honored to greet His
Holiness Pope Shenouda III at TBN headquarters.
Pope Shenouda is the head of the Coptic Church in
Egypt and around the world.
While in Israel last year, Paul met with Israeli
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.
Last year Matt and Laurie traveled to Uganda on
behalf of Paul and Jan and were graciously received
by the President of Uganda, His Excellency Mr.
Yoweri Museveni.
