Crossroads of the WORLD! In a sense, the
number one market of the world — from the
United Nations, to the New York Yankees — sooner
or later virtually everyone, yes, as our picture
proclaims, “EVERYBODY” comes to New York City
— the BIG APPLE. From international VIPs to
international terrorists, New
York has seen it ALL!
Oh, how the evil one has
fought TBN! Twenty-five years
ago we purchased a full power
station, WTBY Channel 54,
licensed to a city called
Poughkeepsie just up the
Hudson River from Manhattan
and the other boroughs of the big
city. While listed as a part of the
New York DMA, or market, it
was just agonizingly out of reach
to the cable stations for us to
demand “MUST CARRY” as
with all of our other full power
TV stations. So, for 25 years we have fought devils
and demons to reach the millions of households in the
BIG CITY!
Ah, but dear Partners — GOD IS STILL ON
THE THRONE! Enter the digital revolution! As mandated
by the FCC, we have been able to move our
DTV transmitter about 20 miles closer to New York
City. We now place a full power signal smack dab
over to the BIG CITY! We are also in escrow for
a gorgeous TV production studio to do local TV
programming, making us a true New York City TV
station! Praise the Lord!
AM I BORING YOU?
Well, you had better buckle up your spiritual seat
belts because when analog (old fashioned) TV goes
off the air in a little more than two years, YOUR TBN
will be MUST CARRY to ALL cable systems in
greater New York City — making TBN, as I said, a
true New York City TV station
with carriage into virtually
every household in greater
New York! Do you know
what a true New York City
TV station is worth? Well, the
last sale of a full power TV
station in NYC was right at
ONE BILLION U.S. DOLLARS!
Now don’t get nervous
— you know Jan and I have
vowed NEVER to sell your
TBN stations. So in a sense
the value is of little importance
other than the ability to
enter every home by air,
cable, DBS satellite and the Internet. But talk about
the “wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just”—
WOW!
But now enter the second miracle in this
drama! What about these next two plus years until
analog sunset? Well, believe it or not, through a special
purchase of a whole 24/7 channel, we actually began
broadcasting TBN on May 1, 2006, to about 820,000(eight hundred and twenty thousand) households on
the giant TIME WARNER CABLE SYSTEM,
covering Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Staten
Island — as I said, 24 hours a day, seven days a
week on Channel 92! Glory to God Most High!
Please help Jan and me spread the GOOD NEWS to
all in New York City! The other great cable systems like
Cablevision and many smaller systems will be added in
the near future!
That’s the GOOD NEWS. And now — well, for we
who love the Lord there is no such thing as bad news —
only opportunity for exciting expansion and growth
reaching more multitudes of lost souls. Here it is: In a
little over two years we will have our own FCC “Must
Carry” which will cost us nothing! Praise the Lord! In the
meantime, we have agreed to pay about 2.5 million
dollars for coverage into those 820,000 new households,
which means at least two million plus new souls! So for my
special Partners who have a burden for New York City,
this word is all that is needed. If EVERYBODY will add
at least two dollars to your regular monthly pledge — the cost per year will be covered!
Just think, even as you read this letter, the Gospel
is penetrating much of New York City, one of the last
battlegrounds for Christian television! Praise the Lord!
One more victory almost overlooked in all the
excitement of New York, plus 54 great satellites feeding
over 6,500 TV and affiliated stations worldwide, is our
newest full power station in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This station covers the vast Tidewater region of Virginia
and is being managed by TBN under a contract that, with
FCC approval, will cede ownership of WHRE Channel
21 to TBN in a few years! Hello Pat Robertson and all of
our dear friends at CBN and the “700 Club”!
Praise God, the awesome words of prophecy from
Kim Clement, Aquilla Nash and others confirm what we
are truly beginning to see. Namely, the greatest harvest of
precious souls in the history of the world! Surely the
Prophet Joel’s word is coming to pass —
“PUT YE IN THE SICKLE, FOR THE HARVEST
IS RIPE…MULTITUDES, MULTITUDES IN THE
VALLEY OF DECISION: FOR THE DAY OF THE
LORD IS NEAR IN THE VALLEY OF DECISION.” Joel 3:13
So dear Partners — REJOICE, REJOICE! We are on
the way home! All that really matters now is HOW
MANY PRECIOUS SOULS CAN WE TAKE WITH US
into the glorious Kingdom of God!
