On the Via Dolorosa, in the old city of
Jerusalem, is an ancient Arab art shop. I love to visit Hassan,
the owner, and bargain for another art treasure. The Arabs love
to bargain -- it's part of their culture, and we enjoy it! As
I peered through the musty corners of a thousand-year-old room,
I spied what appeared to be a large painting. It was so covered
with dust you could hardly make out the subject. A quick dusting
revealed another awesome treasure -- JESUS standing before Pilate,
just before His crucifixion. When we had it professionally cleaned
and framed, we realized we had a true old master oil painting,
probably several hundred years old!
