If on February 18th you wake up and TBN is no longer available on your current TV set, don’t panic! TBN did not go away; we have simply switched to our new digital channel.

If you’ll follow one of these three steps, you’ll not only receive TBN, but four of our other networks: The Church Channel, Smile of a Child kid’s programming, the JCTV youth network, and Enlace for our Spanish speaking brothers and sisters.

For more information go to the TBN website at: www.TBN.org and look for the “DTV Answers” banner, or click on the “Don’t Lose Your TBN Signal” banner.

For those who don’t have internet access, we offer the following telephone numbers.
• To buy a converter box: (800) 711-2001
• To apply for your $40 coupons from the government: (888) 388-2009

1. Buy a new TV set with a digital tuner already installed.
I have seen brand new flat screen TV sets with the digital tuner built in for under $300. This is one of the easiest ways to keep receiving TBN over the air, but many cannot afford a new set at this time, so read on…

2. Subscribe to a satellite or cable service.
This would obviously involve a monthly fee of $40 to $100 depending on the provider. TBN is available on both Dish Network and DirectTV and 90% of the cable systems, so check before you sign up. Also know that Verizon FIOS and AT&T U-verse offer all five of the TBN networks, but are only available in limited areas. Check either one of their websites for more information: www.verizon.com/fiostv or www.att.com/uverse

3. Buy a digital converter box.
This is is the most economical way to keep receiving TBN on your older analog TV set. These boxes sell for between $60 to $100, and the government will provide you with a $40 coupon that can be applied to help defray the cost (limit two per household). These boxes receive the new TBN digital signals over the air and convert them to analog for older TV sets. Also know that you may need a new antenna depending on where you live and how close you are to one of our transmitters.

Another helpful website to determine if you actually live under the pattern of one of our digital transmitters and what type of antenna you need is: www.antennaweb.org.
