Admiral Black was commissioned as a Navy Chaplain in 1976, and has been awarded numerous merit and commendation medals during his distinguished career. Admiral Black holds Master of Arts degrees in Divinity, Counseling and Management, and has a Doctorate degree in Ministry and a Ph.D in Psychology. Admiral Black has recently been named as the newly appointed Chaplain to the United States Senate.
