While shopping a dusty old antique store many years ago, Jan and I discovered an old oil painting. We immediately recognized Mother Mary and Baby Jesus, but were struck by its unusual beauty. Many artists have striven to depict this most famous Mother and Child, but most of them are disappointing and fall far short of the beauty they deserve.
I think you will agree that this painter was inspired to capture the elusive grace and beauty we all, or at least I, have imagined. Have you ever seen a more beautiful Mary or Baby Jesus?
