I WILL DO A NEW THING!

"REMEMBER YE NOT THE FORMER THINGS…BEHOLD, I WILL DO A NEW THING;NOW IT SHALL SPRING FORTH; SHALL YE NOT KNOW IT?" Isa. 43:18, 19
A few days ago I stood before a stadium overflowing with 40,000 souls from all over Central and South America. Benny Hinn had planned only two great services in the city of San José, Costa Rica. Sadly, the police estimated that another 20,000 stood outside trying to get in! The next day, which was a Saturday, the stadium was full at 2:00 PM! So, dear Benny went — we all went, Jan and I and the whole team — and held a 2:00 PM service and a 6:00 PM service, and still ten to fifteen thousand could not get in!
So WHAT IS NEW? Ah, dear Partners — SPIRITUAL HUNGER as we have never seen it, at least not in my lifetime! Surely we are seeing the prophet Joel's prophecy come to pass —
"AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS AFTERWARD, THAT I WILL POUR OUT MY SPIRIT UPON ALL FLESH…." Joel 2:28
Not only were great signs, wonders and miracles evident, I wish you could have seen the crush of humanity as the altar call was given! Restraining fences were flattened as thousands broke all barriers literally running to the front to receive Christ!
Some of you are old enough to remember with me some of the days when if we got a handful to the altar for salvation, it was a great victory!
PRAISE GOD — A NEW THING INDEED!
But the glorious news is the fact that this NEW spiritual hunger is not just in Central or Latin America — the reports are flowing in from everywhere around the world — multitudes are pouring into the glorious Kingdom of God!
We have watched, with almost unbelievable wonder, the masses in Africa. German evangelist, Rinehard Bonnke, preached to over 3 million in one great outdoor service. Over 1 MIILLION salvation cards were signed by African souls confessing faith — NEW FAITH — in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord!
But dear Partners, this is only the beginning! Remember Joel's prophecy — "UPON ALL FLESH"! More evidence is pouring in to us at TBN — letters, emails, phone calls, are literally overwhelming our staff and technology to receive the questions, requests and, yes, confessions of faith in Jesus Christ! We are getting millions of "hits" on our Internet sites — often in a single day! Dear Partners — say it with me:
"GOD IS DOING A NEW THING!"
One of the greatest thrills to me is the flood of responses from all over the Middle East. Most of you know my parents were missionaries to Egypt. My earliest memories as a child were of this ancient land. Oh, how my heart leaps with joy as precious Arab and Moslem souls contact us for Bibles and other literature, but most of all for instruction as to how to receive our Christian faith! Praise God, many once forbidden nations are now open — the satellite signals from our European network are flooding the DBS dishes with the Gospel!
God spoke clearly to me on 9-11-01, that the New York tragedy would break down the stone walls of Islam! Now, two years later we SEE IT HAPPENING!
Precious Christian soldiers are acting as our emissaries to get Bibles and books to the churches — but who could have dreamed that a brave soldier would deliver funds to a pastor in Iraq who has volunteered to purchase satellite dishes for every church in Iraq!? The following is a portion of the letter I recently received from the pastor:
"Hello, Brothers and Sisters of the TBN: The Lord is good, your U.S. soldier has arrived safely in Baghdad. I thank our holy Father for his love and yours. I have received the funds from brother [U.S. soldier], and thank you so much for your gift of love and what the Lord has put on your hearts. God willing, I will send detailed report about the satellite purchases and plans for distributing them [to all the churches in Iraq]. God bless you — Pastor—." [We do not give names for security reasons].
Ah, dear Partners — does this letter thrill your heart like it does mine? Can't you see that God is trusting YOU AND ME — ALL OF TBN, to finish the task of getting THIS GOSPEL to all the world? Let me prove it with a Scripture from Isaiah:
"I THE LORD HAVE CALLED THEE…AND WILL HOLD THY HAND, AND WILL GIVE THEE FOR A COVENANT TO THE PEOPLE, FOR A LIGHT TO THE GENTILES." Isa. 42:6
I know this was a word from God to his people, the Jews. Sadly, to a great extent they failed to be "THAT LIGHT" to the nations of the world. But when Jesus came, who was and is THAT LIGHT, he grafted us into the Vine (John 15:1) and now WE ARE COMMISSIONED TO BE THAT LIGHT, to all the world!
Finally, Isaiah charges the people of his day as being "blind and deaf" to the calling of God to them. He laments that the nations were:
"A PEOPLE ROBBED AND SPOILED…SNARED IN HOLES [sounds like Saddam Hussein], THEY ARE HID IN PRISON HOUSES…NONE DELIVERETH, AND NONE SAITH RESTORE!" Isa. 42:22
But, then, Isaiah looks down through the centuries of time — TO WE OF THIS 21ST CENTURY, and he asks a most penetrating question:
"WHO AMONG YOU WILL GIVE EAR TO THIS? WHO WILL HARKEN AND HEAR FOR THE TIME TO COME?" Isa. 42:23
In the margin of my Bible, I wrote in bold letters:
WE WILL!
Beloved Partners, will you join Jan and me and this awesome, growing TBN family? Oh, I know you will! Open your Bible right now — write it in the margin as I did — "WE WILL"! Yes, we will not rest until China opens the rest of the way — until all the Middle East knows who Jesus REALLY IS! We will not rest until every soul on planet earth gets to hear — at least once — the old, old story of Jesus and his love!

Remember, to get your needs met — to reap YOUR HARVEST, you have to plant your seed — we all have to do this! God planted HIS BEST SEED — His only Son Jesus! And, as we have preached often — what did God receive? You know — millions of sons and daughters! Praise the Lord, I am one of them — so are you!
Yes, God is "DOING A NEW THING"! The question is — do you want to be a part of it? Jan and I know you do! And we love you for it, plus 30 years of your love in return!
