Smile of a Child TV Adds Popular “Paws and Tales” Animated Series to Program Lineup
Smile of a Child, Trinity Broadcasting Network’s exclusive channel for kids ages two to twelve, has announced the addition of the faith-based animated series Paws and Tales to its weekly program lineup. Based on the best-selling book Paw Paw Chuck’s Big Ideas in the Bible, by popular Christian author and pastor Chuck Swindoll, the Paws and Tales animated TV series takes kids into the exciting world of a group of friendly bear cubs—C.J., Staci, Ned, Gooz, and Marsha—as they embark on a host of imaginative and fun-filled adventures around the little community of Wildwood, just east of the picturesque “Bay of Tranquility.”
But more than just an entertaining animated series for kids, Paws and Tales is actually a carefully written and produced program designed to teach children important biblical truths in a way that is both engaging and life changing. Through story and song, each Paws and Tales episode serves up a cast of characters who experience exciting adventures while learning important lessons to which children of all ages can relate.
“I am continually amazed at the impact a simple, carefully worded story can have on young lives,” said Paws and Tales creator Chuck Swindoll. “Nothing quiets them quicker or so completely captures their curiosity. Our hope and prayer is that every episode of Paws and Tales will provide families with more opportunities to discuss the really important things in life.”
Brenda Rossman, programming director for Smile of a Child TV, noted that as the premier inspirational network devoted to children, Smile of a Child has gained a reputation among parents for offering a strong lineup of programming that both entertains as well as morally instructs children during their formative years. “There’s certainly been no shortage of educational children’s TV programs,” said Rossman. “But at Smile of a Child, we’ve made it a priority to air the kind of programming that emphasizes the moral and spiritual truths kids need for life. That’s why we’re thrilled to add Paws and Tales to our programming schedule.”
Bob Higley, vice president for cable and satellite relations at Trinity Broadcasting Network, added that with more parents insisting on clean, quality television shows for their children, networks have been scrambling to meet the need in a variety of ways. “At TBN we’ve had a 38-year track record of airing the best in original and exclusive programming that the whole family can enjoy,” he said. “And with Smile of a Child TV we’re staying ahead of the curve in offering cable and satellite providers with the very best in inspirational programming for children 24 hours every day.”
Paws and Tales airs every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 3:30 p.m. (Pacific Time) on Smile of a Child TV. For more information on Smile of a Child TV visit www.smileofachild.tv.
