LOS ANGELES (October 24, 2014) — There's nothing like a wholesome and engaging movie to bring families together on a crisp Autumn evening. And throughout the month of November, Smile of a Child, the entertaining and inspirational network for kids of all ages, is offering a Saturday evening treasure trove of cinema fun, featuring five feature-length movies designed not only to entertain, but to get kids talking with moms, dads, and grandparents about important life issues like faith, hope, forgiveness, and the importance of family.

“The right movie has a way of sparking memories for kids while re-enforcing important values,” said Brenda Rossman, program director for Smile of a Child. “Each of these films throughout November is specially selected to help bring children, parents, and grandparents together — to enjoy, to share, and to grow for a lifetime.”

Every Saturday evening at 7 p.m. Pacific (9 p.m. Central) throughout the month of November, Smile of a Child will feature a new inspiring and entertaining “movie with a message” your family won't want to miss. Here's the lineup:

Hero (November 1st): A father is determined to win back the son he left through divorce. Reaching out through the game they both love, he forms a baseball team designed to reconnect fathers and sons — a plan that transforms a town in the process.

Healed by Grace (November 8th): When a horrific accident puts a sudden stop to her dreams of being a world class dancer, Riley Adams is forced to trust God completely for her future. Clinging tenaciously to her faith, Riley discovers fresh perspective and renewed hope thanks in no small measure to the friendship she forges with a mare named Grace.

The Bouquet (November 15th): Two estranged sisters find themselves working together towards a common goal. When a tragic turn of events brings both women home, they discover just how much they truly need one another.

Midnight Stallion (November 22nd): A family struggling to save their farm discovers a wild stallion in a nearby meadow, and begins to wonder if the animal could be the answer to their prayers. This heartwarming and inspiring film celebrates the spirit of family and the determination it takes to rise above adversity.

Angel in the House (November 29th): Unable to have a child of their own, and struggling through the adoption process, the Morrison family is waiting for a miracle when a seven-year-old boy suddenly shows up on their doorstep. A warm and wonderful tale that re-enforces the need everyone has to be part of a family.
