TBN’s Holy Land Experience: Face-to-Face With the Land of the Bible!
ORLANDO, FLA. (June 23, 2012) — It’s a little bit of the Holy Land right in the heart of one of America’s favorite vacation spots. It’s Trinity Broadcasting Network’s Holy Land Experience in Orlando, Florida, and with summer in full swing tens of thousands of visitors and families will make their way to this unique destination to be transported back thousands of years to experience the sights, sounds, feel, historical time frame — and impacting truths — of the Bible and First Century Jerusalem.
“Everyone wants to visit Israel and the Holy Land, to walk where Jesus walked and see where He ministered to the multitudes, ” said Mike Everett, General Manager of Holy Land Experience. “But time and cost can prevent many from making this once-in-a-lifetime trip. We’ve created the Holy Land Experience to give people a very affordable opportunity to experience the beauty and wonder of the Holy Land right here at home.”
From the moment guests enter the park’s rich panorama of landscape, architecture, and living scenes, they are immersed in a convincing depiction of ancient Jerusalem and Israel. Every exhibit, live program, and dramatization brings visitors face-to-face with the characters, customs, and relevance of Old and New Testament Scripture.
The Holy Land Experience makes the Bible come to life through such recreated displays as the Jerusalem Street Market, where guests take in the sights and sounds of the ancient City of David; the Qumran Caves, where many biblical manuscripts were discovered; the Wilderness Tabernacle, the very heart of worship for the children of Israel after their exodus from Egypt; the Great Temple, the imposing place of worship deeply revered by First Century Jews; and the Garden Tomb, where Christ was buried and rose three days later.
There is also the park’s world-renowned Scriptorium exhibit, with its collection of priceless biblical antiquities and enlightening presentations that offer visitors a close-up view of biblical and church history and the impact the Bible has had upon the world.
Children are extra-special guests at Holy Land Experience, where they’ll enjoy an action-packed day filled with adventure, kid-style worship, skits, puppets, and a giant rock-climbing wall at the special Smile of a Child Adventureland.
One of the newest additions to Holy Land Experience is the state-of-the-art, 2,000 seat Church of All Nations, where guests will experience life-impacting worship, along with dramatic presentations like Behold the Lamb, the powerful reenactment of the passion and crucifixion of Jesus, and We Shall Behold Him, the glorious depiction of His resurrection and ascension to heaven. They might even participate in a live broadcast of TBN’s award-winning signature program Praise the Lord.
Those visiting Holy Land Experience agree that it’s far more than a vacation attraction. It is truly a life-changing experience. “This has been the most wonderful experience,” said one guest of her recent visit. “I have laughed and I have cried. I feel as though I have been renewed in my spirit. This has been an answer to a lifetime dream.”
A visitor from Canada raved about the music and dramatic presentations. “Everything is done with excellence,” he said. “Such a blessing to be in a totally spiritual environment....”
And a guest from Malaysia said: “We never knew Orlando had this amazing place to worship and show how great God’s love is…. We feel like we entered a glimpse of heaven, and it made us feel closer to Him.”
Mike Everett emphasized that every element of Holy Land Experience has been designed to draw people closer to God. “I truly believe this is one of the most relevant and life-changing vacation destinations that individuals, families, church groups, youth groups—just about anyone—could experience,” he said. “The true-to-life exhibits, the dramas and musical productions—even the wonderful food and unique shops—add up to an unforgettable, impacting adventure for folks of all ages.”
