Trinity Broadcasting Network Announces Purchase of Major London Production Facility
LONDON (October 10, 2012) — Trinity Broadcasting Network, the world's largest Christian broadcaster, has announced the purchase of a major television production facility in London. Located in an ethnically diverse area of the city near world-famous Wembley Stadium, the facility will not only serve the programming needs of London-based TBN Europe, but will facilitate broadcast production for many other international TBN networks.
“As a corridor to the rest of the world, London is the center of a vast array of cultures and ethnicities,” said TBN Vice President Matt Crouch as he and his father, TBN founder Dr. Paul Crouch, stood in front of famed Buckingham Palace to make the announcement. “This new studio will give us the ability to greatly expand our outreach to these peoples, such as London's major Middle Eastern populations, and create dynamic programming for our Farsi-language Nejat network, the Arabic-language Healing Channel, TBN Europe, and beyond.”
Dr. Raafat Girgis, who produces programming for the Healing Channel, emphasized that the facility will be particularly strategic for TBN's outreach to Muslims. “London has become a hub for so many individuals and families coming from the Arab world,” explained Dr. Girgis. “With its location, this facility will enable us to reach tens of thousands of Muslims in the UK with the gospel through Arab- and Farsi-language programs hosted in these studios. Many of these people will, in turn, go back to their communities and share Christ in their own tongues.”
Richard Fleming, director of TBN Europe, noted that the new facility includes three spacious studios that will facilitate a wide variety of sets, along with plenty of room for live audiences. “When we see it through God's eyes and what He has provided here in the middle of one of the world's most vibrant cities, we are very excited,” he said.
Dr. Crouch said that like the rest of Europe, the UK finds itself in deep need of spiritual renewal. “Our prayer is that this new TBN facility will help bring about a spiritual revival that not only transforms London and the rest of this country with the glory of God,” he said, “but causes a stirring that sweeps across Europe, reaches the Muslim world, and impacts every nation for Christ along the way.”
