Trinity Broadcasting Network Offers Max Lucado's Bestselling Book “Grace”

LOS ANGELES (May 9, 2014) — Throughout the month of May, Trinity Broadcasting Network, America's most-watched and requested faith channel, is offering a powerful and life-changing book from one of its close friends and ministry partners, New York Times best-selling author Max Lucado.

Grace: More Than We Deserve, Greater Than We Imagine takes up a subject that has been getting a lot of attention of late in pulpits and pews. But America's favorite inspirational writer takes us past the worn-out cliches we've all heard about grace, all the way to the very depths of what beats in God's heart for humanity.

Talking recently about the book, Mr. Lucado noted that individuals and families have more to deal with in life than ever before. “The economy, stress, your to-do list, pain, your health, rejection, loneliness — we sure have a lot weighing down on us,” he reflected. “Our worries run deep and life is messy. But take heart. God answers the messes of life with one word: Grace.”

But God's grace is not the wimpy or weak kind that so many individuals have settled for, said Mr. Lucado. It's not a “gold-fish grace that swims in circles on your shelf.” Such a grace, he said, is “pretty, but it doesn't affect your life, doesn't cause any trouble, doesn't demand a response, stirs no emotion, incites no reaction, is easily neglected, quickly forgotten — and it's utterly useless.”

In Grace: More Than We Deserve, Greater Than We Imagine, Max Lucado invites readers to consider anew God's powerful and unchanging offer to be confronted and truly transformed by His abundant grace — a grace that will turn our world upside down with divine love and mercy, empowering us to become His agents of forgiveness, mercy, and love to others.

Reading Max Lucado on grace is like hearing Warren Buffett on money or Julia Child on food,” said popular pastor and author John Ortberg. “It’s a subject he spent a lifetime falling in love with.”

Syndicated columnist Cal Thomas wrote that “some writers aim for the mind, others for the heart, and a small number for the soul. With Grace Max Lucado hits the trifecta, touching on all three.

And family counseling expert Stephen Arterburn said that “if you love the writings of Max Lucado, this will probably become your favorite.”

TBN Vice President Matthew Crouch noted that Max Lucado has been a close friend and ministry partner with the network for a number of years. “Max's weekly series on God grace is a real blessing to our viewers,” he said. “And his Max Lucado 365 inspirational spots are nuggets of gold that continue to change lives. We are blessed to offer one of Max's most requested and impacting books, Grace, throughout the month of May.”
