Trinity Broadcasting Network Recognized With “Stevie® Award” for Innovative Mobile App
LOS ANGELES (September 24, 2012) — Trinity Broadcasting Network, the world's largest religious broadcaster and America's most watched faith channel, has been recognized with a “Stevie® Award” for its innovative TBN mobile app that gives smart phone users live access to many of TBN's eighteen exclusive networks, along with a wide variety of Video on Demand features.
The Stevie Awards are among the most prestigious recognition given to companies and organizations for achievements and positive contributions in their specific fields. The TBN recognition was announced at the American Business Awards new product and tech awards gala in San Francisco on September 17.
TBN's mobile app, created by the California-based Trinet Internet Solutions, received a 2012 Bronze Stevie Award under the category of best of lifestyle apps. The smart phone application was recognized for its quality, innovation, reliability, and overall performance.
“We're honored to be recognized for our ongoing efforts to give viewers greater access to all of TBN's life-changing networks and programming,” said Matt Crouch, TBN's Vice President of Administration. “We thank the folks at Trinet for all their diligent work in helping us get this innovative mobile app into the hands of our viewers.”
TBN's founder, Dr. Paul Crouch, noted that along with the network's iTBN online video portal, the TBN mobile app is making “TBN Everywhere” a reality. “Our goal has always been to use the medium of TV to take the good news of Jesus Christ to every corner of the earth,” he said. “Through this miracle of technology we're seeing the message of the gospel get into the hands — and the hearts — of more people than ever before. We thank God for that opportunity.”
