Jonathan Hunter is the associate director of Desert
Stream Ministries and also founder of Embracing Life, an outreach
of Desert Stream for people with life-defining illnesses. Jonathan's
exodus out of homosexuality and long-term survival as an HIV+ man
give him considerable experience in addressing issues both of sexual
brokenness and life-defining illnesses. The Embracing Life Series,
a 14-week healing, discipleship program written by Jonathan is currently
being run throughout the world and is notable for helping people
break free from effects of the spirit of death. Jonathan's latest
book, Breaking Free from the Sprit of Death was published this spring
by Desert Stream Press.
Jonathan has done countless radio, television and print interviews,
both Christian and secular, since coming on staff in 1985. A few
of those include: Dr. James Dobson's Focus on the Family, the 700
Club, Christianity Today and Charisma magazines, the Los Angeles
Times and various network TV shows. Jonathan's travels both in the
U.S. and abroad focus on equipping the church to impart active,
hope-filled ministry.
