Left Behind: World at War Premier
Left Behind: World at War hosted its world premiere Thursday, October 20, 2005 in Los Angeles, and while it looked like most other premieres, complete with a star-studded roster, spotlights probing the night sky and media coverage, there was one very different element – it was held at a church.
Academy Award winner Louis Gossett, Jr., and Kirk Cameron, the film’s stars, arrived at First Presbyterian Hollywood alongside co-stars Janaya Stephens, Gordon Currie, Jessica Steen and Arnold Pinnock. Walking along a “white carpet” created by flickering votives, the cast and guests enjoyed an intimate setting in the courtyard just outside the church’s Mears Auditorium, where the film was screened.
The movie, Left Behind: World at War, starring Lou Gossett Jr., is the third film based on the Bible-inspired Left Behind best-selling series of books by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins about the apocalypse, during which a demonic-sent anti-christ quietly rises to assume global power over those people remaining on the planet after millions mysteriously disappear one day.
