Christmas is a season of traditions. What better tradition than hearing classic Christmas favorites performed in traditional Celtic style, complete with harp, accordion, and tin whistle? The Barra MacNeils’ Celtic Christmas does just that in this hour long performance special taped live in St. Matthew’s Church in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Evoking the Christmas spirit of old England, and featuring Canada’s performers, The Barra MacNeils’ Celtic Christmas was a favourite among Canadian broadcasters and viewers with its fiddle tunes, compelling original numbers, even a little tap dancing.
