Billy Graham Library Dedication
The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is preparing to launch the latest extension of their ministry: The Billy Graham Library.
The 40,000 square-foot library honors the life of evangelist Billy Graham. As part of the organization's ongoing outreach, it is designed to inspire visitors by highlighting the full scope of his international organization.
The 40-foot tall building is modeled after the Graham Dairy Farm from the 1930s and is located in Charlotte, N.C.
The library is expected to open to the public June 5, with three former U.S. presidents taking part in a dedication ceremony on May 31.
President George H.W. Bush will deliver the keynote address. Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter will also be involved in the dedication.
The library will house six exhibits, four galleries, and two theaters, covering the span of Graham's lifetime work.
It will also be the repository for Graham's personal papers, including his correspondence and sermon manuscripts.
About 1,400 invited guests, including family, friends, longtime supporters, and dignitaries, will attend the dedication ceremony.
