Remember to Give Your Soul a Rest.
The U.S. Department of Labor states that, “Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.”
For most Americans, Labor Day is commemorated with a day off from work or school. Though this holiday may mean an extra day’s rest, we’re often lacking rest because we’re burdened by concerns in our lives. Some of you may be reading these words and have questions about life after death. What happens to our souls? Is there life after death? Questions about eternity cause many to stress, fear, and worry.
In this video, Pastor Greg Laurie illustrates how we can receive rest for our souls and it’s through a personal relationship with Jesus. Heaven is real and it’s a beautiful place free of stress and worry. It’s only through Jesus that your place in Heaven is secured. It’s only through Him that you will find true rest.
This Labor Day, why not give your soul a rest by committing or recommitting your life to Jesus? It’s the best thing that you can do!
If you would like to commit or recommit your life to Jesus, you can pray this prayer that Pastor Greg prayed: Lord Jesus. I know I’m a sinner. But I know that You are the Savior. You died on the cross for me and rose again from the dead. I turn from my sins, Jesus, and I choose to follow You from this moment forward. Thank You for calling me and accepting me. In Jesus’ name I pray…
