God Has a Plan for our Lives.
We are in a relentless pursuit of perfection. We want the perfect weight, perfect job, perfect home, kids, spouse, perfect life! It gets overwhelming when we compare where we are to where we want to be.
Our pursuit of perfection doesn’t end at having the perfect life. We also want to have a perfect relationship with God. For many, this mindset of needing to have a perfect relationship with God hinders us from serving Him imperfectly. Imperfect servanthood is what God wants from us because His perfection will be shown and glorified through our imperfections.
What imperfect servanthood doesn’t mean is bringing our worst and expecting God to make the best out of that! Imperfect servanthood is giving God our best and relying on Him to make it better.
Often, we hesitate to serve God because we’ve experienced disappointments, setbacks, and failures. God knows all about our disappointments, setbacks, and failures, and yet He wants to work through them!
Jeremiah 1:5 says: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.
He has set us apart to do great things through Him for His Kingdom!
Our perfectionist way of thinking coupled with our fear of failure causes us to doubt our purpose in Him!
We need to step out in faith and have faith that when we step out, God will show up and do the impossible!
