Over five million people have fled Ukraine since Russia began its military assault on this eastern European nation in mid-February. The mass exodus has created a humanitarian crisis, with nearly three million individuals and families making their way to Poland, Ukraine’s neighbor to the west.
“In the midst of the deep needs we have seen God working miraculously.” — Pastor Krzysztof Rompa
On the front line of this desperate need has been TBN’s Polish network affiliate, TBN Polska, working hand-in-hand with others both to broadcast updates and information, as well as to help distribute humanitarian supplies and welcome Ukrainian refugees with open arms and the love of Jesus.
“Our hearts break for our Ukrainian neighbors,” said Pastor Krzysztof Rompa, president of TBN Polska. “Across Poland we have rallied God’s people to help meet the desperate needs as we know Jesus desires we do.”
In addition to producing regular programs to update Polish believers on the plight of their Ukrainian neighbors, TBN Polska has partnered with churches and outreaches in both Poland and Ukraine to help provide food and necessities, along with housing and other needs for the refugees.
“In the midst of the deep needs we have seen God working miraculously,” said Pastor Rompa. “Many Ukrainians are coming to Christ, and Polish believers are being stretched to love others in times of crisis. God is good!”
