TBN’s Trilogy Digital team serves several networks and enterprises, e.g. Dr. Phil’s Merit Street, PBR+, Positiv TV, individual theatrical releases, etc., with state-of-the-art streaming products and web services.
TBN is looking for a Director of Digital Customer Experience with experience from the digital media industry to join our growing Digital Platforms team. The Director of Digital Customer Experience will manage and lead Web Strategy and Delivery and provide system-wide leadership in planning, optimizing, and directing the design, functionality, and security of TBN's websites.
The position oversees the coordinated development, communication, and implementation of web projects, policies, and procedures and accessibility of the TBN websites for all users. The Director of Digital Customer Experience works to ensure the website is optimized for donations, e-commerce, content viewership growth, analytics and web page destinations that are in place to measure organic and paid marketing efforts. The position assures that the Web Services department offers guidance and training to content editors and collaborates with various organizational units to audit website performance. Guidance and consulting services will also be offered as needed.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical knowledge in web systems, a digital-first approach to the customer journey, is detail-oriented, and has experience working in streaming media platforms. This position will report to the Senior Director of Digital Customer Experience and supervises a collection of resources.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensures that Web Strategy and Development supports the web-related communication needs of TBN and affiliates by preparing long- and short-range goals and objectives; establishing priorities to meet goals and objectives; managing personnel, budgetary, and technology resources for effective web services; encouraging input to Web Strategy and Development; advising and consulting with department heads and senior administrators about web issues and concerns; and evaluating the unit’s performance and progress toward accomplishment of goals and objectives.
- Ensures fiscal responsibility and accountability through coordination and preparation of the annual budget, authorizing the expenditure of DCx funds, and maintaining overall budget control.
- Ensures the system-wide coordination and implementation of TBN and affiliates websites by directing the resources of Web Strategy and Development in developing a consistent engaging design and programming structure, collaborating with each web liaison, and providing centralized web services and features.
- Assumes responsibility for the TBN.org website by overseeing the planning, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of the central site and the coordination of the information architecture, overall design, and usability of the site.
- Leads, performs, and oversees the planning, analysis, design, and implementation of selected system-wide web applications by working with customers to determine requirements, achieve milestones, and deploy successful projects.
- Facilitates the coordinated implementation of web projects by communicating clearly with different departments, collaborating with Information Services, attending meetings and representing the interests of the TBN.org and affiliate sites, and responding to inquiries.
- Understands and meets web users' expectations and information needs by evaluating information from surveys, focus groups, feedback, and statistics, researching web use patterns, and performing usability studies with target audience segments.
- Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses required for the position.
- Contributes to the overall success of Marketing and Communications by performing all other duties as assigned.
- Ensuring timely delivery of completed projects that align with the ministry goals, brand voice, and creative vision of TBN.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and seven or more years of experience in a web related technology or design field.
- At least five years of technology project management experience with Agile methodology.
- The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse constituencies with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Effective interpersonal, organizational, time management and team building skills.
- Strong creative, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong and current technical skills.
- The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds. An understanding of issues related to users with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced video production environment while maintaining production standards and efficiency.
- Meticulous attention to quality, detail, and project organization.
Equivalent combination of years of experience and education may be considered for substitution of educational requirements.

- Experience utilizing state-of-the art technology in a marketing and communications environment.
- Experience overseeing the development of websites that address issues of design, architecture, integration, security, and accessibility.
- Experience working with digital media for international distribution and global audience growth.
- Experience working in Christian media.
