Trinity Broadcasting Network is the global leader in Christian faith-based television programming. We are looking for a seasoned Director of Donor Development who has a track record of leading successful fundraising initiatives, managing teams, and implementing strategy across a development department. The ideal candidate is a skilled manager, communicator, and leader who is passionate about TBN’s mission and will represent TBN to its donors with professionalism and integrity and collaborate equally well with TBN’s board of directors, executives, and support staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic vision and leadership in the development, management, implementation, execution, and evaluation of all donor relations programs, processes, and systems, including TBN’s Living Legacy operations.
- Develop innovative strategies, policies, and protocols for a comprehensive donor cultivation and recognition program including relevant experience with campaign planning and execution.
- Implement strategies to enhance donor development and execute best practices relating to donor engagement and retention.
- In collaboration with the director of communications and other executive team members, implement an effective communications plan to support fundraising development, individual giving, and corporate giving.
- Develop sources for potential new donors.
- Identify and cultivate prospective major donors.
- Prepare and present reports on donor development fundraising activities to senior management and board of directors.
- Plan and evaluate fundraising campaigns and activities.
- Manage the donor development department budget and fundraising income programs.
- Communicate with donors and staff via email, phone, or social media.
- Respond to donor and staff inquiries in a timely manner.
- Plan and execute fundraising events.
- Create lapsed donor initiatives to encourage reengagement.
- Develop and manage team responsible for cultivation and stewardship efforts that support annual, major, and corporate gifts.
- Oversee and manage systems for donor tracking.
- Stay current with fundraising trends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and five or more years of experience in donor development and fundraising including creating, managing, implementing, executing, and evaluating donor relations, initiatives, and programs.
- Sound knowledge of principles, practices, and ethics of charitable giving.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to details
- Proven track record of planning and initiating successful fundraising strategies.
- Expertise in a broad range of areas including donor cultivation and recognition campaigns, fundraising, program building, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated skills in analysis and problem-solving as well as strategic goal setting, business planning, and successful implementation of new programs.
- Effective strategic planning experience with the ability to quantify measurable goals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms.
- Experience in managing databases and using fundraising software.
- Experience successfully managing people, programs, and resources with strong leadership principles.
- Ability to exercise a high degree of sound judgment, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with an innovative approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work independently and as a team leader.
