Programming Department Coordinator



TBN is seeking an experienced television programming coordinator.  This position provides office and administrative support for the TBN Programming department’s daily operations, and as needed also provides support for the Smile children’s network and JUCE youth network operations.



Duties Include:



  • Negotiate licenses and permissions with copyright owners of film and television content.
  • Work closely and communicate regularly with TBN’s legal department.
  • Coordinate with the Chief Operations officer, marketing, and production departments to schedule programs.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Content and Acquisitions on the status of new programming being produced or acquired.
  • Create grids and post network program schedules for TBN and Smile networks
  • Prepare daily rating reports for TBN, Smile, and JUCE networks
  • Maintain programming department files, including program contracts, amendments, and term sheets
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms.
  • Using Oracle accounting system, process payments to various vendors.
  • Track and process license fee payments
  • Prepare reports and maintain filing systems
  • Create graphics for TBN and Smile Facebook pages
  • Update program calendars
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Other administrative duties as assigned



Skills and Experience:



  • Two year college degree or equivalent experience in media industry administrative work, television programming,  and  experience at a TV station or regional/national network
  • Ability to accurately analyze contract and license agreements
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint
