TBN (that’s us!) is looking for a mid-level social media specialist with a passion for digital marketing and a penchant for politics. As an integral part of our organization’s Marketing Department, you’ll bring passion, creativity, and a self-starter mentality to this role. This position requires up-to-date knowledge of all things digital marketing whether that be content publishing best practices, content optimization, SEO, or content strategy. The position will work on a variety of projects centered around the network’s broadcasts, with a heavy emphasis on our late-night style political news show. Ideally, you’ll be a person who brings empathy, encouragement, and a keen eye for details to the role.

  • Translate marketing objectives into detailed social media action plans, then manage the execution of said plan
  • Work closely with the graphic design and television production teams to concept and create engaging content
  • Concept, create and post approved social content across digital channels
  • Moderate and keep tabs on the digital platforms within your purview, ensuring consumers are responded to, concerns are addressed, and questions are answered
  • Create occasional digital reports (tracking user experience, engagement rates, reach, website traffic, etc.) to determine how successfully KPIs are being achieved
  • Create and send twice-weekly political digest emails
  • Optimize all social platforms for growth (with a strong eye towards YouTube growth)
  • Monitor Facebook livestream of assigned show’s broadcast

  • BA in public relations, journalism, marketing, communications, or equivalent experience
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of marketing experience
  • At least one (1) year of copywriting experience, especially in the headline and blog writing arena
  • A bit of customer service experience is a plus, specifically how to handle a PR crisis
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design, video editing, file formats, etc.
  • Strong understanding of the Christian faith-based culture, audiences, and texts
  • Moderate-to-advanced knowledge of current politics, government, etc.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills
  • A proven track record of increasing audiences and engagements (on social media)

Miscellaneous Things

  • We’d like you to have some flexibility with your working schedule. While the job is mostly 9-6p, it will sometimes require you to work on weekends or outside of business hours
  • It (almost) goes without saying that we’re looking for a strong communicator (written and verbal) who can create-and-write in a witty, humorous, and authoritative way
  • Social media should be second nature to you. Like if your middle name was ‘Pinterest,’ that’d be cool
  • This role is centered around the world of right-leaning politics, so it’s imperative that you can assimilate into that world. We’re not saying you have to be a part of that world, but you at least have to understand the basics of it. We’re speaking to Rush Limbaugh-loving, Religious Right-voting, President Trump-supporting viewers -- and our marketing strategies, email blasts, inside jokes, and content all reflect that leaning
