Social Media Strategist

 

New Women's Program: “Better Together”

Reports to: Senior Producer

 

Summary:

 

This position will manage the social media presence for a daily network-quality TV series set to air on the TBN networks Spring 2018. Primary responsibility will be to create integrated social media strategies to promote the broadcast, build a community of viewers, and foster audience engagement across multiple social media platforms in a manner that aligns with the ministry goals, brand voice, and creative vision for the series.

 

Duties:

 

  • Collaborate with the Senior Producer and team to create integrated social media marketing strategies to meet promotional and audience engagement goals
  • Leverage program assets and promotional content to ensure effective reach into new and existing audiences across social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
  • Manage social community and relationship development, including responding to direct messages and comments
  • Create and manage social ad campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
  • Provide ongoing assessment for determining the progress and success of initiatives
  • Identify social cross-promotional opportunities to highlight content and maximize exposure, including providing content to guests for external social promotion as needed
  • Work closely with program and marketing teams to ensure consistency in messaging and creative direction
  • Stay current on the latest trends, technologies, and tools related to social media content distribution, social ad strategies, and associated analytics

 

Skills & Experience:

 

  • At least 5 years of social media management experience, including at least 2 years of strategic social experience and at least 1 year of recent social ad experience (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter preferred)
  • Passion for creating content for our target audience (Christian women)
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to brand voice and ministry style
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to write clear, concise, compelling copy
  • Ability to proofread and make corrections in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style
  • Expert attention to detail and ability to complete jobs under deadline pressure
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in related field of study (Social Media and/or Marketing specialties preferred) or equivalent experience

 

Additional Materials Required:

 

Candidates will be asked to complete a brief social media post and ad test in addition to submitting samples of social posts, reports, campaigns, and strategic planning.
