Garry McFadden


Sheriff Garry McFadden of Mecklenberg County, NC is currently a board member and Regional Representative for the Major County Sheriffs of America. Retired from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department in 2011 as a detective after 36 years of service, he was re-hired by the City of Charlotte to serve as a community relations advisor to the police chief. In 2016, he became the first African-American law enforcement officer to star in a national television series, “I Am Homicide.”
