Our world is in obvious and desperate need of peace, a demonstration of the fact that it is far from God. For, as Shawn teaches, God is peace itself, and all true and lasting peace comes from and through him. As we draw near to this identity of our God, we can lay hold of that peace which triumphs over circumstances and passes understanding.
