For Laurie and me, this summer has taken on a special significance with the birth in March of our first grandchild, Shai Alexander, to our son and daughter-in-law Cody and Audrey Crouch. For me personally, this milestone event emphasized the importance we have as parents and grandparents to ensure that those following us are given a straight road to follow — a path that will lead them to know and love Jesus.
