The Role:
Do you love creating commercials, ads and promos? Do you have a passion for putting together the best content to promote? Do you want an opportunity to have your work broadcast on national television? We are looking for a Video Promotions Editor who is interested in storytelling, audio design, color correction, motion graphics and all things involving creating videos. Reporting to the Senior Director of Post Production, the Video Promotions Editor must be able to acclimate to a fast-paced environment where multiple projects are the norm and deadlines come fast. Above all, the successful candidate should have a passion for video, a willingness to learn what TBN is after, and a knack for telling compelling stories.
What you’ll do:
- Create short form compelling content that promotes a variety of specials, original content and existing content.
- Collaborate on the development of motion graphics across all video content.
- Ensure style guide adherence, storytelling consistency and proper brand implementation.
- Create content that is consistently fresh, engaging, and creative.
- Proactively provide ideas to elevate each promo, especially in areas around storytelling and motion graphics
What you’ll need:
- 4-6 years relevant work experience
- Demonstrated effective and creative use of voice-over, soundbites, NAT/SOT, music, sound effects in video editing.
- Hands-on experience creating motion graphics or animation with Adobe After Effects or other similar professional-grade software.
- Knowledge of basic Broadcast terms – lower thirds, transitions, logo animations,
- Know how to offer and take constructive criticism. Ability to take direction well.
- Expert time and project management skills to handle multiple assignments and complete complex jobs under deadline pressure.
- Strong ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced daily TV environment while maintaining production standards and efficiency.
- Meticulous attention to quality, detail, and project organization.
- Great working knowledge of finishing, formats, frame rates, and codecs.
- Sufficient in grammar and spelling.
Education:
B.A. degree in film, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
