They were tired of the judges.

They were tired of being oppressed.

They thought to themself, "hey, our neighbors have a king.

We wanna have a king." they wanted structure.

They no longer wanted to just each person follow god

And let the spirit of god lead through that whole thing.

They said, "no, we want structure."

Instead of just glorifying god each and every day, they said,

"no, we wanna have a government of some sort."
