Discover the Fascinating “Hidden History” of America’s Founding Fathers, July 4th on TBN

LOS ANGELES (July 3, 2019) — As America celebrates 243 years of independence this July 4th, a majority of its grateful citizens actually know very little about the 56 men who gathered at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that decisive summer afternoon. Who were these historic individuals who enthusiastically approved the legendary document that declared America’s independence and created a nation destined to become home for countless millions of men and women from across the earth longing for refuge, liberty, and a place of opportunity for themselves and future generations?

On Thursday, July 4, Independence Day, TBN welcomes noted historians David and Tim Barton from WallBuilders for a special installment of America’s Hidden History, that explores the lives and legacies of a small handful of these founding fathers who affixed their signatures to the Declaration of Independence — and in the process pledged “our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor” to the cause of liberty for all.

From well-known signers like John Hancock, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and John Adams, to more obscure individuals such as Thomas Nelson, Richard Stockton, John Hart, and Charles Carroll, the signers of the Declaration of Independence were an eclectic group of men that included doctors, lawyers, teachers, and ministers, as well as farmers, merchants, and seamen, and more. Some were among the wealthiest individuals in the colonies, while others were of modest means.

But all were men of courage and faith with a conviction that their efforts to establish a new nation founded on liberty was divinely ordered, and would change the course of history.

Don’t miss this special Independence Day installment of America’s Hidden History as David and Tim Barton from Wallbuilders take us through some of America’s most fascinating and inspirational history this Thursday, July 4th, at 8 p.m. Eastern / 7 p.m. Central, exclusively on TBN.
