New TBN Docu-Series Spotlights Contemporary Christian Music Legends

LOS ANGELES (June 7, 2018) — It’s no secret that Contemporary Christian Music is one of the most popular and requested musical genres, combining culturally relevant sounds with meaningful lyrics to deliver a listening experience that is both entertaining and life-impacting. On Thursday, June 7th, faith-and-family television network TBN premieres the all-new weekly documentary series Remember the Music, spotlighting the pioneers and legends of this global cultural phenomenon.

Hosted by Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning contemporary Christian recording artist Jaci Velasquez, Remember the Music chronicles the lives and careers of such influential singers, songwriters, musicians, and worship artists as Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Russ Taff, Sandi Patty, Nicole C. Mullen, Evie, Steve Green, David Meece, Petra, and many more.

Each week Remember the Music offers a fascinating journey into the personal and professional lives of these legendary Christian artists and groups, featuring stories and perspective from their friends and music contemporaries, and an intimate, behind-the-scenes look into their music, ministry, and their personal faith.

“These pioneering musicians and artists likely didn’t know it at the time, but they were on the ground floor of a musical genre that has become one of the most cutting-edge delivery vehicles for the message of God’s love and forgiveness,” said Christian television veteran and TBN consultant Dave McQuade, whose Z Music Television was the first and only 24/7 cable network featuring only contemporary Christian music in the 1990s. “Through Remember the Music we’re getting a weekly front-row seat to this seminal moment in musical and cultural history — and Amy Grant is the perfect profile to kick off this remarkable new series.”

Don’t miss this week’s special premiere as Remember the Music chronicles the life, music, and stellar career of legendary Christian and crossover recording artist Amy Grant, Thursday, June 7th, at 6:30 p.m. Eastern / 3:30 p.m. Pacific – exclusively on TBN.
