TBN Airs Full Schedule of Inspiring Easter Programming

LOS ANGELES, March 29, 2021 — TBN, the world’s largest religious broadcaster, announced special lineup of inspiring programming for the Easter weekend, beginning Thursday, April 1, and culminating with exclusive Easter Sunday programming for TBN viewers.

“We’re excited to provide viewers across the earth this special opportunity to celebrate Easter again this year with new programming all weekend long,” said TBN chairman Matt Crouch. “We saw great success last year and are thankful to be able to provide more new content to our viewers.”

Programming begins Thursday, April 1 at 8 p.m. ET, as TBN partners with the Museum of the Bible to present The History of Easter, hosted by Christian musical artists Matthew West. Filmed in Israel, Italy, and at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC, the program offers a vast perspective on the history of Easter, presenting the origin of many of its traditions that have grown through the ages, and ending with a presentation of the original Easter week.

At 9 p.m; ET TBN partners with the Gospel Music Association for the airing of Because He Lives: An Easter Celebration. Hosted by contemporary Christian artists Danny Gokey and Blanca, the one-hour special will include a short spoken word segment from Rabbi Jason Sobel, along with musical guests Amy Grant, Anthony Brown & Group Therapy, CeCe Winans, Ellie Holcomb, Jekalyn Carr, Karen Peck & New River, Natalie Grant & Bernie Herms, Nicole C. and Zach Williams.

On Friday, April 2, at 8 p.m. ET, TBN presents the one-hour special Good Friday Worldwide. The program includes a message from pastor and New York Times bestselling author Max Lucado, worship from Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Chris Tomlin, along with recording artists Pat Barrett, We The Kingdom and a chart-topping surprise guest.

And on Easter Sunday, April 4, TBN will present some powerful Resurrection-themed messages from popular Christian pastor and teacher, along with a Global Easter Celebration hosted by Chris Tomlin and Max Lucado at 8 p.m. ET. This special will feature worship from Chris Tomlin, Pat Barrett, and We The Kingdom.
