The bible says that he stooped down to the ground

One thing that kind of i wrestled with was,

Did jesus break the law?

Because the scribes and pharisees,

They found this woman caught in the act of adultery.

They brought her before jesus.

Jesus was actually teaching right in the temple.

They just threw this woman in front of him,

These scribes, these pharisees, these religious leaders,

And they said, "moses, in the law of moses,

He said that someone who commits adultery must be stoned."

They already had their stones in their hand ready

To just smack her, you know?

And ultimately she didn't get, you know, killed that day.

And jesus, you know, spoke to her after

So i was really glad about that.

But part of me was wondering, just wrestling with this,

Because i know scripture is perfect, scripture is true,

But i know jesus himself said,

"i did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill the law."

So i kind of, i wondered,

Did jesus break the law there in john 8?

And john 8 is a huge chapter.

You know, john 8, jesus offended a lot of religious people.

He, you know, later in that chapter,

He told probably these same scribes and pharisees

That "before abraham was, i am."

And when he said "i am," he was actually referencing

What god spoke to moses from the burning bush.

God was speaking to him saying,

They wanted to kill him because he was saying,
