Daniel's a prophet and prophecy there are many many prophet's described in the bible.

In the hebrew bible we know of 48 men and 7 woman by name

And they vary in levels of prophecy from the greatest prophet moses

To much lesser prophet's, prophet's whose names are not even recorded.

But even to achieve the lowest level prophecy requires a person to

Gain complete control of their mind and their body.

So you, we we break through the veneer of what we perceive to be the reality we live in

And we enter higher pain of cognizance

Is the extent they get a high level of prophecy.

In the lion's den was reserved only for those who were dis-loyal to him?

Peter: the king is upset because he knows he can't reverse the law that he's that he's already signed

And he also knows that daniel is being plotted against

That this is a palace intrigue that's going on.

He, he sees in daniel a man of integrity, a man of faith

Ummm i see here in this text though the frustration of darius reveals itself that he, he's tricked.

He's not the only king in history that gets tricked

We, we know king ahasuerus in the book of esther also gets tricked by an edict that he can't reverse.

Darius probably knew that when the edict was being written that there was possibly danger with daniel.

If he knew daniel he and he had it in his mind it was fresh in his mind

He might have already thought that there was going to be a problem with daniel

But for some reason he doesn't see past the scheme

Uhhh the advisors are able to write this edict, he signs it

And uhhh so again he's upset probably because he was tricked

And he already had a great sense of favour with daniel.

As soon as he was thrown down into their den?

For the same reason why the fire didn't consume daniel's 3 friends.

It was a tremendous act of faith uhhh and miraculous salvation it says

God closed the lion's mouth, the lion's were probably pretty happy to eat daniel for dinner

But it just didn't happen and again it's a tremendous

It's a demonstration of you know god's power in the world

And it's and, and daniel's faith

Of sanctifying god's name, of putting it all on the line even your life

Perhaps he also understood that god was sovereign over his entire creation

So in this particular instance god is showing daniel great favour

And that's what i, i like to point out is god is not limited to his own natural law

We don't get a lot of detail in the story about what daniel did in the lion's den

Uhhh was he afraid, did he did he back away, did he go across the, the den and try to get away from the lion's?

We don't get the indication uhhh certainly in his human state there might have been some sense of fear

But it at some point it must have been clear that god was on the scene
