With a population of well over one billion people, sub-Saharan Africa is a massive harvest field for the gospel. And TBN Africa is covering the entire region with culturally relevant programming that is reaching millions daily with the message of God’s hope and grace.
TBN began its relationship with Africa back in 1986, when TBN founder Paul Crouch Sr. first brought Christian television to what is now South Africa. Today viewers in over fifty sub-Saharan African nations are being impacted by a combination of the best of TBN’s global ministry programming, along with powerful teaching and ministry from popular and emerging African Christian leaders.
And with a second exciting African network, TBN Yetu, more individuals and families than ever are being touched and changed through faith-and-family programming. Taking its name from the Swahili word for “Ours,” TBN Yetu has a uniquely regional African flavor and reach, reflecting the vibrant and diverse worship that truly defines Africa’s Christian communities.
Recently TBN Africa took ownership of a beautiful new facility near Johannesburg that is now being built into a state-of-the-art studio to increase the reach of the gospel message across Africa.
Lucky Mbiko, network manager for TBN Africa, said that the new facility will expand the ability of TBN’s African networks to produce great local and regional content from talk shows and music to a broad range of teaching and ministry.
“We are excited for all the incredible doors God is opening for us to reach people, families, and communities across Africa,” said Mr. Mbiko. “The days ahead are going to be the most fruitful for TBN Africa, as we spread the love of Jesus to all Africans.”
