TBN Next Generation serves kids, youth, and young adults from ages 2-24 with innovative multi-platform media. The team consists of tech and media experts who are using social media, television broadcast, and digital media platforms to build channels that effectively engage younger audiences with faith-based programming.
DESCRIPTION
This position will work primarily with Yippee TV, a TBN Next Generation venture for ages 2-10. Daily tasks will focus largely on the organization, preparation, and distribution of content. The ideal candidate has experience with digital media, is tech-savvy, loves details, uses clear file naming conventions, has an aptitude for analytics, and is an excellent communicator. They should be willing to “wear multiple hats” and enthusiastically jump in on projects as needed. This role will provide unique opportunities to sharpen skills while learning the ins and outs of running a streaming service at a high level.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with content distribution to Yippee, Amazon, Comcast, YouTube, and FAST platforms
- Prepare and upload videos, thumbnails, and metadata
- YouTube channel management and optimization, including uploading and scheduling, playlists, end screens, cards, etc.
- Writing and optimizing titles, descriptions, and tags
- Technical quality checks for video playback, file types, aspect ratios, and artwork
- Ensure team media and graphics files are organized and archived, including ingest of camera media for show editors
- Use Photoshop to create, modify, and resize thumbnails in variety of aspect ratios
- Video editing projects, especially promos, adding branded tags, removing scenes, and transcoding
- Create and retime subtitle SRT files
- Communicate with content partners concerning file delivery requirements
- Tracking, analyzing, and reporting the performance of content for SVOD & YouTube to broader team
- Assist with pre-production research
- Assist with studio productions and field productions as needed
- Support daily operations and team logistics
- Stay informed of platform updates, industry trends, and new features
- Help schedule programming for children’s broadcast TV channel and FAST channels
- Assist with quarterly revenue & FCC reports for broadcast and licensed content
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in media, communications, film, or related field
- Meticulous attention to quality, detail, file names, and project organization
- Highly Technical - familiarity with file types, codecs, and technical troubleshooting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Video Editing (Adobe Premiere)
- Adobe Creative Suite - Especially Media Encoder, Premiere, and Photoshop
- YouTube channel management and optimization experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Coachable team player who takes initiative
- Familiarity with Christian culture for kids and young adults
- Relevant work experience 1-2 years
- SVOD/AVOD platform and/or FAST channel experience a plus
