  • Let me read youthat, Acts chapter 8.
  • 00:05:39.662 --> 00:05:42.665
  • "There was a man named Simon whoused magic tricks for many years

  • 00:05:46.035 --> 00:05:49.472

  • 00:05:55.979 --> 00:05:58.548

  • 00:06:01.985 --> 00:06:05.955
  • So, this magician, thiscon man became a Christian.
  • 00:06:05.989 --> 00:06:09.726
  • Then it says, "Later on, whenSimon saw the Holy Spirit

  • Well, I tell you what,that's for God to judge.
  • 00:07:37.046 --> 00:07:40.383
  • But here's what Jesus had to sayin Matthew chapter 7, verse 22.
  • 00:07:40.416 --> 00:07:44.053
  • Jesus said, "On judgment day, onjudgment day, many will say to

  • 00:08:04.841 --> 00:08:07.343
  • Go away from me,your word was evil.'"
  • 00:08:07.377 --> 00:08:10.780

  • of God, Jesus said, actuallyknows God or knows Jesus.
  • 00:08:14.250 --> 00:08:18.755
  • So, you need to becareful about that.

  • You can't buy a miracle.
  • 00:08:21.858 --> 00:08:24.327

  • 00:08:24.360 --> 00:08:26.596

  • People will say, "It's neverGod's will for me to be sick.

  • It's never God's willfor me to be sick."
  • 00:08:38.608 --> 00:08:41.444
  • That sounds good and the peoplewho teach this sincerely believe
  • 00:08:41.477 --> 00:08:44.447
  • that God alwayswants you to be well.
  • 00:08:44.480 --> 00:08:48.952

  • God's will.
  • 00:20:20.242 --> 00:20:22.444

  • and sickness in our lives.
  • 00:20:24.213 --> 00:20:26.415
  • But let me just mention three,why does God sometimes allow
  • 00:20:26.448 --> 00:20:30.019
  • sickness in my life?
  • 00:20:30.052 --> 00:20:33.756
  • Three reasons.
  • 00:20:33.789 --> 00:20:35.658
  • Number one, to get myattention and to redirect me.
  • 00:20:35.691 --> 00:20:39.728
  • To get my attentionand redirect me.
  • 00:20:39.762 --> 00:20:41.497
  • Sometimes, God has to lay youflat on your back in order to
  • 00:20:41.530 --> 00:20:45.768
  • get you to look up to God.
  • 00:20:45.801 --> 00:20:48.170
  • He makes me lie downin green pastures.
  • 00:20:48.203 --> 00:20:51.106
  • Psalm 119, verse 71 says this,"It was good for me to be

  • me in a different direction.
  • 00:21:08.057 --> 00:21:10.626
  • Now, this first reason is whatthe Bible calls a sickness for
  • 00:21:10.659 --> 00:21:14.063
  • discipline or asickness for training.
  • 00:21:14.096 --> 00:21:18.400
  • The old English word is asickness unto chastisement.
  • 00:21:18.434 --> 00:21:21.637
  • But this is sometimes God allowsthe sickness to redirect us, get
  • 00:21:21.670 --> 00:21:25.774
  • our attention, redirect us.
  • 00:21:25.808 --> 00:21:28.110
  • Second reason, sometimes Godallows the sickness to be a
  • 00:21:28.143 --> 00:21:30.679
  • testimony for others.
  • 00:21:30.713 --> 00:21:33.582
  • Did you know that?
