Nightly Praise Programs Tackle Anxiety, Depression and Spiritual Renewal Through Biblical Truth, Expert Insight and Real-Life Stories

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 5, 2025) — As mental health challenges continue to impact individuals and families across the globe, Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), America’s most-watched faith-and-family network, is dedicating an entire week of its flagship program Praise to bring hope, help and healing through powerful conversations, biblical wisdom and personal testimony.

“Mental health is one of the most pressing issues of our time, and we believe the Church must lead with both truth and compassion,” says TBN President Matt Crouch. “TBN is committed to creating space for honest dialogue, expert wisdom and personal stories that point people to lasting hope and victory that is found in Jesus.”

Airing nightly at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET from Monday, August 11, through Friday, August 15, TBN's Mental Health Week will feature trusted voices from ministry, mental health and entertainment. Together, they will share stories and strategies to equip viewers to navigate anxiety, depression, grief, intrusive thoughts and more through a biblical perspective.

 

Programming Highlights Include:

  • Monday, August 11 – “The Church and Mental Health”

    Hosted by Sheila Walsh, this powerful panel explores how faith communities can respond to the growing mental health crisis with compassion and clarity. Featuring Dr. Henry Cloud, Dr. Sharon May, and Dr. Harold Duncan, this first-run episode tackles stigma and provides actionable insight for churches and individuals alike.

  • Tuesday, August 12 – “Tame Your Thoughts”

    In this timely first-run episode with Matt and Laurie Crouch, beloved author and pastor Max Lucado shares biblical tools for quieting the mental noise that often leads to fear and despair. Based on themes from his new book, Lucado offers practical ways to take control of our thought lives.

  • Wednesday, August 13 – “Every Thought Captive”

    In this encore presentation, Kyle Idleman dives into how Scripture equips believers to confront unhealthy thought patterns and live with renewed minds.

  • Thursday, August 14 – “Sheila’s Story”

    A vulnerable and moving conversation with Matt and Laurie Crouch as Sheila shares her own journey through clinical depression and God’s faithfulness in the midst of struggle. This re-air episode highlights the importance of honesty and hope in the healing process.

  • Friday, August 15 – Movie Night: “Break Every Chain”

    Facing unimaginable personal loss and the brink of suicide, a police officer finds faith, hope, and redemption. This gripping true-story film offers a cinematic reflection on the transformative power of God’s love.
