Meet David Jeremiah: A Voice of Faith and Inspiration
From the early days in a pastor's home to being the force behind one of today's most influential broadcast ministries, David Jeremiah's life story is nothing short of inspiring. Growing up surrounded by ministry, he experienced God's calling during his senior year at Cedarville College, propelling him into a life of dedication and service to God.
David's passion for sharing God's word was evident, thanks to his strong academic background, which included a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Divinity degree from Cedarville College.
In 1981, life led David to the Golden State, where he took on the role of senior pastor at Scott Memorial Baptist Church. Under his leadership, this Church, now known as Shadow Mountain Community Church, has grown exponentially. It has become a pillar of faith in San Diego County, reaching remote communities with eight satellite locations, and even catering to Hispanic and Arabic believers.
Turning Point for God: Broadcasting Hope Worldwide
A year after moving to California, David initiated Turning Point for God. It wasn’t just another broadcast ministry, but a heartfelt endeavor to share the timeless truths of God’s word in our ever-evolving world. What began as a modest local effort soared to national recognition by 2000 and has since positioned itself as a global front-runner in broadcast ministry.
But David's influence doesn't end there. Alongside his pastoral duties at Shadow Mountain Community Church and leading Turning Point, he wears the hat of an author, sharing insights and wisdom through his writings.
In addition to his television appearances, David Jeremiah is a sought-after speaker at conferences, conventions, and universities. He has even inspired professional basketball and football teams during their chapel services.
