The second Sunday of Lent brings the story of Jesus' transfiguration on a high mountain. Jesus takes Peter, James, and John with him, and they witness a stunning transformation as Jesus' clothes become dazzling white. They see Moses and Elijah conversing with Jesus, and Peter suggests building tents for them. They are overwhelmed and afraid as a cloud comes and a voice from heaven proclaims Jesus as God's beloved Son. As they descend from the mountain, Jesus warns them not to speak of the vision until after his resurrection.
